Clean with fresh water. Do not use soap (otherwise your food will taste like it). Only use mortar and pestle when dry (or your dry ingredients might turn to paste).

Roughly grind a small amount of white rice. Discard and repeat until the grinds remain white.

Add four cloves of garlic and mashitup. Then add a teaspoon of cumin, salt, and garlic. grind it all together. remove, wash again with just water and allow to air dry.
